Ltd, a supply company serving the diverse needs of nurseries, from cleaning supplies to catering. Meet Mark Johnson: Founder and Director
Mark Johnson is the founder and driving force behind The Bloom Group — a childcare organisation built to solve real capacity shortages, raise standards and build sustainable careers in the early years sector.
With more than twenty years of hands-on experience in childcare operations, property strategy, and business growth, Mark doesn’t just talk about transforming childcare — he makes it happen. From launching multiple high-quality nursery settings across Liverpool and Knowsley to building operational systems that put children, staff and families first, Mark’s leadership blends grit with purpose.
Mark’s journey isn’t a straight line — and that’s exactly why he’s good at what he does. Growing up in Liverpool, he learned the value of hard work early, scaling up from small entrepreneurial ventures to building and investing in businesses that matter. His early success in property investment helped fund his first steps back into childcare — supporting settings that have gone on to serve hundreds of families and provide careers for dozens of educators.
At Bloom, Mark leads by example every day. He believes that a great leader is one who doesn’t ask others to do what he hasn’t done himself — from operations and compliance to rolling up his sleeves on the ground. That perspective drives Bloom’s culture: respectful, ambitious, grounded in fairness, and committed to career growth.
Outside of Bloom, Mark is a devoted husband and father, a youth football coach, and a life-long Liverpool supporter — because winning matters both on and off the pitch.
