Welcome to Bloom @Northwood — a childcare setting with deep roots in the heart of the Northwood community!
We're based right on-site at Northwood Community Primary School on Roughwood Drive in Kirkby, and we've been proudly calling this place home since 2011. That means over a decade of laughter, learning, muddy wellies, and happy children — and we wouldn't change a thing!

Here at Bloom Northwood, we're not just in the community — we are the community.
The majority of our brilliant team were born and raised right here in Kirkby. Some of them actually attended Northwood Community Primary School themselves — the very building they now turn up to every day to care for the next generation. How special is that?
Our staff have siblings and children of their own in our setting and in the school next door. So when we say we treat every child like our own, we really mean it. This isn't just a job to us — it's personal.
Perfectly Placed for Families
Being located within the school grounds means we're perfectly set up to support families with children of all ages. Whether you've got a baby in our nursery or a school-age child heading into class, everything is under one roof. No stressful school runs across opposite ends of Kirkby — just one drop-off, one pick-up, and a whole lot less chaos for you!
Northwood Community Primary School is a vibrant, inclusive 21st-century learning environment, and we're proud to be an integral part of that community. The school welcomes families warmly, and so do we.

We welcome families accessing government-funded childcare places, including:
15 hours free for all 3 and 4-year-olds
30 hours free for eligible working families
9-month-old funding for eligible working parents
2-year-old funding for eligible families
